TALLINN — Four unidentified men threatened a female student with her life at the Estonian Business School in central Tallinn.

According to Martin Luige, press spokesman of Northern Prefecture, the man who threatened the student spoke in English. After the incident, all students were evacuated and police school was searched without finding anything out of the ordinary. Police are also examining security camera footage of the incident.

The police have not initiated a criminal investigation but say they will try to find out who were the men, why and what they told the student.

“There might not be anything criminal, however it is not proper behavior,” Luige told Baltic Reports. “There’s no reason to think that someone was actually sought to kill her.”

Although Estonia has sometimes had threats of violence in its schools, there has never been a student murdered on-campus since the country regained its independence two decades ago.

Terje Tampere, Estonian Business School marketing specialist said the men were not Estonian nor students at the school.

“The men are from a foreign land, they are not the school’s students nor connected to the school in any other way,” Tampere told Baltic Reports. [/private_supervisor] [private_subscription 1 month]the school administration.
