Pandemic over, but 2 more swine flu deaths

VILNIUS — Although the country is no longer in a state of pandemic, swine flu continues to claim lives in Lithuania.

The Ministry of Health declared that two more people died of swine flu Monday — a 45-year-old man from Raseiniai and a 32-year-old woman from Vilnius. This brings the total amount of deaths in Lithuania to eight.

The Emergency Management Commission, which consists of government ministers and medical representatives, declared that Lithuania was no longer in a pandemic state as the number of cases has fallen below the threshold.
