Meistriliiga (Estonia)
This week’s Meistriliga action all took place on Saturday with each teams featuring. Top of the table Levadia continued to show strong domestic form, easily discarding of visitors Kuressaare 8-0, when the visitors got off to the worst possible start scoring an own-goal in the first. The rampage continued for the entirety of the game with final goal coming in the 90th. Sillamäe Kalev remained in second spot and within reach of Levadia with a 3-1 away win over Tulevik. Trans managed to secure a strong 4-1 away home victory over Paide, and with Flora going down 2-3 away to Kalju, Trans have now opened up a healthy lead over their closest rivals on the points ladder. The other match up of the round saw the two bottom placed teams going head-to-head with Maag Tammeka recording a 1-0 home victory over Tallinna Kalev who remain stuck in last place.
LMT Virslīga (Latvia)
On Thursday Daugavpils hosted the first game of the week with a 1-0 victory over Blāzma. The rest of the action came on Sunday, which saw four games take place. Ventspils managed to return to winning form with a 1-0 home victory over Dinaburg, who featured for the second time in the week. However, Ventspils’ win was not enough to see them return to the top of the table, with Liepājas Metalurgs holding top position with a 3-0 home win over Daugava Riga. Skonto continue to keep the pressure on Ventspils for second place, recording a 2-0 away victory over Olimps. In the final game of the round lowly Tranzits caused an upset of sorts defeating fifth-placed Jūrmala 2-1 away.
A-Lyga (Lithuania)
After a week off last week for most teams, all were back in action on Sunday. With a 1-0 away win over LKKA, Vėtra managed to open a gap between itself and its nearest rivals on the points table after both second and third placed Banga and Ekranas were held to draws. After being up 2-0 at half time away to Kruoja, visiting Banga were undone in the second half, with the telling goal only arriving in the 89th minute to rob them of the outright victory. Playing at home against Sūduva, it was also a second-half goal that cost Ekranas 3 points. In the other game of the round, Šiauliai moved clear into fourth spot with a telling 1-0 away win over now fifth-placed Taurus.
