Triobet Baltic League return leg Wednesday schedule

JELGAVA, Latvia — Wednesday is another busy evening for the Triobet Baltic League as another three first round return legs await to get underway.

The action today will again start in Estonia as JK Trans attempt to overcome a first-leg 0-2 deficit when they host Lithuanian opponents, FK Sūduva. Sūduva’s head coach, Gediminas Jarmalavičius is brimming with confidence going into the game stating that’s he rates his team’s chances based on the fact they already hold the 2-0 advantage.

Action will then head to Latvia where the remaining two games are scheduled to take place. Liepāja Metalurgs are first on the cards, hosting Kalju of Estonia. The locals have been in scintillating domestic form of late and having already secured a valuable away goal on their way to winning the first leg 1-0, they will be quietly confident that they will be going to the next round. Liepāja Metalurgs goalie Kristaps Grebis said that they have been trying to block the fact that they are on the verge of winning their domestic league out of their minds, instead focusing on winning their second Baltic League title.

In the final match of the day Skonto will be hoping to repeat Monday’s form that saw them upset Ventspils in domestic action. However, standing in their way are Sillamäe Kalev, who are hurting after going down 1-3 at home on the first-leg. Playing in front of the cameras tonight, they will be looking to take inspiration from Jūrmala who were in a similar circumstance going into the second leg match and almost produced an upset. Sillamäe Kalev will be hoping to go one step further in producing the upset.
