TALLINN — The Estonian Northern Police Prefecture released an updated sketch of the alleged Toompark murderer Wednesday based on additional testimony from witnesses.
However, police have not named any suspects, no arrests have been made and the unidentified killer remains on the loose more than a week after the incident.
An unidentified man attacked two women with a baseball bat on Nov.23 before 8 a.m. at Toompark in Tallinn’s Old Town, in the vicinity of the Shnelli Pond and Patkuli Stairs. One woman, 34-years old, died in Mustamäe Hospital in Nov. 25.
Police reported that the sketch of the criminal has not dramatically changed but could be closer to his real appearance. The suspected attacker is between 180 and 185 cm tall, thin and has dark hair and a dark tan complexion. The man was wearing a white cap and a dark jacket the morning of the attack.
Based on an analysis of the evidence, police say there is no reason believe that the incident which took place in the Mustamägi neighborhood when a male with a similar description harassed a woman in Lepistiku Park is connected with the attack of two women at Shnelli Pond in Toompark.
