KLAIPĖDA, Lithuania — A semi truck containing 300,000 litai (€86,000) worth of cigarettes was captured Wednesday on a road near Sudargas, a small town along the border with Russia’s Kaliningrad enclave.
Border control officers noticed the trailer was empty, and discovered the cigarettes located under a false floor.
The driver was arrested and charged with possessing contraband and illegal possession of excise goods.
