After barely scraping past VEF Riga on Saturday, Ventspils could not repeat the feat against Šiauliai on Tuesday evening going down 68-93. Ventspils were able to play some part in the final quarter, all be it in vein with the game already well beyond their reach. Deividas Gailius was the best of the home side, knocking down 23 points.
VEF Riga were also backing up again on Tuesday, determined to not face the same fate with befell them on Saturday. This time they taking on the Liepāja Lauvas. It was an all-round effort from VEF Riga with their top-scorer Alex Renfroe only scoring 12 points, giving an indication of how much everybody chipped in.
Rock and Kalev/Cramo were next up in the all-Estonian derby. Rock’s 2,000 fans were enough to assist in pulling them through the first three periods, taking a three-point lead into the final. However, Kalev/Cramo were able to turn the tables and silence the fans with a flawless final period to snatch the game by 75-73, when Charron Fisher was able to convert both his free throws with just five seconds remaining on the clock. The two points also helped Fisher to 22 for the night, one more than Rock’s Scott Morrison.
