RIGA — Although winter is still in full force in Tallinn, in Riga and Vilnius an early thaw has kicked in inexplicably. So that means spring is around the corner, and with it the first half of 2010’s concert season. Highlights include legends of metal Metallica, the world’s top-rated DJ Armin Van Buuren and one of rock’s essential vocalists[private_supervisor], Rod Stewart.
Neither of the Baltic capitals see as much live music action as say, Berlin or London. Of course, given their smaller size and geographic location, that’s only natural. So you’ve got to enjoy whatever Western artists happen to make it over here, which isn’t that many.
