JELGAVA, Latvia — The four semifinalists will be known in the Triobet Baltic League following Tuesday and Wednesday’s return-leg semi finals.
Action begins in Tallinn on Tuesday when reigning Estonian champions Levadia Tallinn host Lithuanian opposition, Suduva. Having held Suduva to a 0-0 draw with a depleted squad during the first leg, Levadia Tallinn will be confident of doing the business at home and advancing.
In Tuesday’s second match up Skonto host Liepaja Metalurgs in an all Latvian affair. Liepaja Metalurgs are currently up on aggregate 1-0 and will be confident on defending this at Skonto Stadium.
Ventspils are looking the best to advance to the semi finals, having scored two valuable away goals to Vetra in a 2-1 victory. Playing in the first of Wednesday’s game, it would take a complete implosion from the Ventspils teams for them not to advance.
In the final quarter final Lithuanian team Ekranas host Flora. During the first leg Ekranas could not manage a goal with a second string team, but more importantly they were at the same time able to hold Flora goalless. Ekranas will put out a full team on Thursday and should advance with relative ease.
