VILNIUS — A recent poll shows that President Dalia Grybauskaitė is the most popular politician in Lithuania with an 85 percent approval rating. The prime minister has almost the opposite rating.
The coalition government and Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius have been losing popularity since they started enacting their harsh austerity measures, which crippled many in the country financially.
Kubilius had an approval rating of just [private_supervisor]12 percent, three percentage points worse than in March.
The next most popular politician after the president was Seimas speaker Irena Degutienė with 60 percent approval. Former President Valdas Adamkus still commands 58 percent approval, though he is not in office.
The opposition leader Algirdas Butkevičius and member of European parliament Vilija Blinkevičiūtė were next with an approval rating just shy of 51 percent. Others who made it just over the 50 percent mark were the MEP and Labour Party leader Viktor Uspaskich, the terminally ill former President Algirdas Brazauskas, parliamentarians Julius Veselka and Valentinas Mazuronis, SEB Bankas presidential adviser Gitanas Nausėda and lawyer Kęstutis Čilinskas.
National Resurrection Party leader Arūnas Valinskas was seen very negatively in his political role with an 80 percent disapproval rating.
Election poll
If the next parliamentary election were held tomorrow, only 6 percent of citizens would put their vote behind Kubilius and his conservative party. The social democrats, who lead the opposition would be the front runners and would garner 19 percent of the vote.
The workers party would be in second place with 17 percent of the vote and in third place would be the Order and Justice party with 8 percent.
New Union, headed by Artūras Paulauskas, which currently has one seat would get 4.7 percent of the vote.
Among the worst rated parties for the next election would be the National Resurrection Party. It would get less than 1 percent of the vote according to the poll.
Some 26 percent of people would not know where to place their votes.

Even if for five years Lithuania has been the Member of the European Union and NATO, and it should be a legal and democratic Republic, truth and justice are still imprisoned in deep nether of Soviet thinking and corruption.
20 years passed after announcement of the Independence of Lithuania, but we may see terrible injustice and corruption prospering in law enforcement institutions. It is possible to justly state that it was much easier to destroy the Soviet Union than to make procurators and judges of Lithuania to perform their work – make justice, but not serve criminals.
She lost sight of the people crying made before pedophile. The people are in need but it is coming ….. ufffffff……. we need hjelp!!!!
This story is frightening and almost impossible to believe, but it is true! It is about a little girl, then 3yrs old who was molested by well known people in Lithuania. The father, Drasius Kedys, tried fighting for his daughter the legal way – by going to the police, by contacting the Child protective Services, by… Žiūrėti daugiau going to state prosecutors and … See Moregetting nowhere. He then went public. This story brought a huge public interest and resentment toward the Lithuanian authorities. Later the father disappeared. The same day of his disappearance there were two suspects of molesting this little girl killed. The blame was put on the father, who months later was found dead in a very public place. Witnesses say, there were torture marks all over his body, however, the experts hired by the state released a statement saying he died of natural causes. The main suspect is awaiting a trial, however there is another trial in going on – should the girl be returned to the mother, who knew about the molestation of her daughter and played a big part in it herself! The little girl lives with her father’s family right now. This story is full of illogical decisions and incomplete investigations. The media is finding out more and more about this case than the prosecutors (who are obviously covering the pedophile clan) and it is becoming clearer that the arguments presented by the media about the prosecutors hiding evidence regarding this story are true. The decision was made by the court to return the girl to her mother, who sold her daughter to these child molesters for the money and better life. Currently, there people gathering around the house where the little girl is staying in order to protect her from returning to her mother. So we are asking you for help in this case. We need someone to step in and help us to shut this pedophile clan down and bring justice to this girl. Her fathers wish was to never stop fighting for his girls well-being and he is gone! The Lithuanian authorities are not doing their job right. There is corruption going on and it becoming impossible to fight them! Please, get involved!

Please, read and help in any way you can. Maybe you can give us someone’s contact info or forward this to someone who could help Lithuanian People. There is a HUGE Pedophile Scandal Going in Lithuania as we speak. This is a long and confusing story. Please read below to get the picture. The girls, Deimante, father, Drasius Kedys, tried fighting for his girl, who was molested by powerful and High positions holding Lithuanian Officials. The case went nowhere and the dad was found dead. He also is being blamed for the killing of two suspects in this case (however, there is tons of evidence showing he didn’t do it). Now the court ordered to return the girl to her mother (girl has been in the custody of dad’s sister after he was found dead), who was selling her daughter to those perverts. People of Lithuania have surrounded Drasius Kedys’ sister’s house where the girl is and do not let them leave or don’t let anyone close to the house, so the girl would not be returned. There are protests going In Lithuanian cities, One was help in LONDON and Chicago yesterday as well. We are trying to get media attention, so people of Lithuania start doing the right thing and save this girl and other kids from this Pedophile clan. I am trying to attach as much info as I can, but this only one little drop in the ocean. We are trying to translate it into other languages and send it to anyone we can think of. Please, help us.
