Kedys’ daughter meets mother

KAUNAS, Lithuania — Drąsius Kedys’ daughter was finally able to meet with her mother under police guard for two hours on Thursday morning, before being taken back to her aunt’s house.

The girl has been called a “caged circus animal” by her mother, Laima Stankūnaitė, who has been struggling to be reunited with her daughter in accordance with a court ruling awarding her custody. Stankūnaitė’s daughter has been kept at the Neringa Venckienė’s Garliava home, which has been surrounded continuously since [private_supervisor]May 14 by a group about 100 protesters who believe Drąsius Kedys’ accusation that her mother pimped her out to various men for paedophiliac orgies and fear for the girl’s safety.

The 100-strong mob that was previously preventing the mother from seeing her child allowed police to take her away, but followed them to where the meeting was held.

Under police guard Stankūnaitė met her daughter in Kaunas for two hours before the child was taken back to the house where she currently resides with her aunt Neringa Venckienė and her grandparents on her deceased father’s side. Although Stankūnaitė has won custody of the girl, she has allowed her to stay with Venckienė thus far.

Lawsuit against the court

Meanwhile Venckienė, herself a judge, filed a lawsuit against Vilnius District Court on Thursday for 2 million litai (€580,000) for actions when it was in breach of the laws of the General Prosecutor’s Office and for the events of this week.

She also said that the actions of the Acting Prosecutor General Raimondas Petrauskas should be reviewed, calling them “illegal.”

The details of either of the claims are not clear and haven’t been made public, but the Vilnius Regional Court confirmed that the cases had been received.

Meanwhile, one of the men accused of molesting Kedys’ daughter has had his case postponed again in Panėvežys.

Andrius Ūsas, director of the Eurotechnika manufacturing company in Kaunas is charged with molesting, but not raping, Stankūnaitė’s daughter in the alleged orgies.
