TALLINN — Estonia’s second-largest brewery Saku tripled its exports in the first half of 2010 compared to 2008, the company announced Wednesday.

The company, who exports beverages to Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and Lithuania, exported more than 15 million liters of beverages, of which most popular product was beer.

According to Margus Kastein, sales director of Saku Õlletehas, the most popular export destination was Finland, to where the beer export was seven times higher than a year ago.

Kastein said that the company just started selling bottled Saku Hele beer in Finnish alcohol monopoly Alko, where Saku Kuld, Saku Originaal, and Saku Rock etc. are already represented.

“For example, Saku Originaal has been the best selling foreign beer brand in Finland,” Kastein told the Äripäev business newspaper.
