RIGA — Private equity firm Baltcap has agreed to take a 25 percent stake in the TREV-2 group, one of Estonia’s largest construction companies.
The terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Baltcap owned part of TREV-2 for several years until 2003, when its stake was sold to Alta Capital, and Baltcap may have got a good deal as construction has been one of the hardest-hit sector in Estonia by the economic crisis.
“BaltCap are pleased to join a leading infrastructure construction company in Estonia with the TREV-2 Group’s shareholders’ circle. We highly value the team and the company’s current achievements,” Balticap spokesman Kristjan Kalda told Äripäev on Monday.
Baltcap is a pan-Baltic private equity firm that owns chunks of 15 companies across the region.
