TALLINN — Finnish health care technology company Innokas Medical Oy, whose turnover exceeded €17 million last year, announced Monday that the company would be expanding its Estonian operations.
The company has run a factory since 2006 in the coastal town Rakvere, employing 30 people to produce electronic equipment. The company is positive that the inception of Innokas Medical Estonia OÜ, the new subsidiary that will handle the increased operations, will enlarge the number of employees significantly in a job market rife with applicants given the high unemployment level.
“Our production activity in Estonia expands from electronic equipment production to administration of larger solutions,” Jouni Ihme, CEO of Innokas said in a statement to the press. “We will also develop integral logistics and procurement solutions.”
The company plan is to offer more complex medical equipment from the Estonian factory, Ihme said.
