RIGA — A recent European Commission report on the European telecom market shows that Latvian mobile tariffs are the least expensive in the European Union.
According to the report, the average Latvian mobile call price is 0.04 euros per minute, which is three times less than the EU average price of €0.13 per minute, because of the highly competitive nature of the [private_supervisor]sector. In the first nine months of 2009, around 93,000 users switched companies.
In Malta, mobile users pay an average of €0.24 per minute and in Luxembourg the average mobile call price is €0.21 per minute.
