TALLINN — Ventspils are the first team to book their spot in the Triobet Baltic League football final.
The Latvians moved through to the final after holding their opposition FC Flora to a 0-0 result in the return-leg semi final on Tuesday evening, giving them an aggregate 2-0 victory, following their first-leg victory last month.
The game failed to live up to its semi final billing, with Ventspils content on playing a defensive game and conserving their lead. Flora had no choice but to produce an all out attack, however they lacked any real creativity in trying to break down Ventspils’ defense.
Ventspils opposition in that final will be known later today when Liepājas Metalurgs host Sūduva. Sūduva are sitting comfortable in the box seat, going into the game up 3-0 on aggregate.
