VILNIUS — Damage from the sever thunderstorm that hit the Baltic states a week ago will cost Lithuania around €120,000, mostly spent on extra manpower to clean up.
In addition to killing four people, the storm knocked down numerous trees and power lines and ripped off roofs. The storm damage was concentrated in southern Lithuania in the area around Kaunas and Alytus.
Funding for the costs is coming from the European Social Fund.
