JELGAVA, Latvia — Liepājas Metalurgs, Skonto and Sūduva have all advanced to the Triobet Baltic League second round after their first-round return-legs on Wednesday.
Liepājas Metalurgs have continued from where they left off in domestic form, displaying some scintilating in making easy work of visitors Sillamäe Kalev. Liepājas Metalurgs scored four unanswered goals to advance 6-2 on aggregate.
Skonto made it two from two for Latvia on Wednesday when they protected their handy first leg advantage. Although visitors Kalju won the meet 1-0, Skonto’s first leg’s victory assured them a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Up in Estonia, Trans Narvu was not able to continue the fine fortune that Estonian teams have so far enjoyed in this competition with a 1-1 draw with Lithuanian visitors Sūduva not enough to get them through. Sūduva advance 3-1 on aggregate.
