TRAVEMÜNDE, Germany — A Latvian trucker had his 40,000 kg rig confiscated by police last week for drink driving, and then lost it for good for repeatedly turning up to collect it too drunk to pass a breath test.

The pie-eyed Latvian driver — not named for legal reasons — has his keys taken by police in Travemünde, Germany, while four times over the drink-drive limit.

But each time he turned up to collect his keys, the tucker was so drunk he wasn’t allowed back in the cab.

“We tried three times to give him his truck back and each time he failed. Enough is enough, he can get the bus home,” said one officer.
