VILNIUS — Tiko is the newest addition to the crepe scene in Vilnius and it has landed with a splash. Where other pancake restaurants such as Gusto Blyninė rely on their funky interior and not much else, Tiko is cheap and it is fast.

The menu they have looks a lot like the other pancakes available in the city, but the prices are much lower – the pancakes start at 1.75 litas for one, which is enough to fill you up if you aren’t a huge eater.

The interior of the place, on Vokečių street, is bright and fun with colourful plastic chairs and services is fairly quick (for Lithuanian standards).

Some of the meals they have are worth looking at — 10 litas will get you a pancake with filling, a drink, a salad and a serve of soup.

One complaint that I had at the time is that the staff didn’t know how to put orders together. Our table had just two people on it, but I had eaten my entire meal before my friend received his first pancake and then his second pancake took another 10 minutes before it arrived. At the time there were only six people in the restaurant including the three who work there. It also only takes about two minutes to prepare a pancake. I would hope that this facet of the restaurant improves, which would make it one of the best options for a quick meal in the center.

I hope this website, and Tiko, succeed. Both may be more likely if you put their address on this article.
