TALLINN — Estonian tennis star Kaia Kanepi’s career hit a major speed bump Monday as her manager, trainer, and sponsors Tallink Group and AS Infortar separated from her due over “disagreements.”
Tallink reported Monday that it and AS Infortar, Kanepi’s sponsors since 2007, would end end their deal with the 24-year-old. The same day, manager Enn Pant and trainer Mait Künnap announced that they were quitting working with Kanepi. Little reason was given publicly besides disagreements.
Kanepi promised to post a comment on the incident on her website within a few days.
