VILNIUS — When you stepped outside this morning and the frigid air hit your face, well, get used to it.

Full-fledged winter weather has hit the Baltic states after a balmy late November and early December. Temperatures in Vilnius are predicted to stay under -10 degrees Celsius until next week, while Riga’s will be under -8 degrees and Tallinn -7 degrees.

Although it already snowed in Lithuania this year, today’s early morning snowfall was the first time the fluffy white stuff has accompanied such chilling temperatures.

Look’s like it could be a white Christmas in the Baltics.
