TALLINN — Tallinn police announced Thursday that a local artist had 18 of his paintings, his life’s work, stolen from his basement last weekend.

The artist said the total value of the paintings was 500,000 krooni (€32,000). Police are not releasing the painter’s name.

The case remains under investigation.
