Parex ponders bond sale

RIGA — Latvia’s Parex Bank is considering issuing 300 million lats (€423 million) worth of Eurobonds and will decide at a shareholders meeting Jan. 29.

In an interview with Latvian Radio, Parex Bank Senior Vice President Roberts Idelsons said that the sale would allow some of the restrictions imposed on the bank from its nationalization to be lifted. He said the bank has been considering the bond sale since December.

The bonds would mature in two years.
