VILNIUS — In what appears to be a case of neglect, a two-year-old girl fell to her death after climbing onto the windowsill of her fourth story home on Švitrigailos street and slipping.
At the time of the incident, the three children in the family were being [private_supervisor]watched by a neighbor. It is believed that at around noon on Tuesday one of the older children opened the window and the young girl climbed up to look out.
The girl, who died of injuries sustained from the fall, was just one month away from her third birthday.
Fire and rescue workers were first on the scene and called an ambulance. Police are investigating.
