June good for airBaltic

RIGA — It appears airBaltic’s strategy of expansion coupled with regional economic recovery is boosting the Latvian national airline’s passenger count.

airBaltic's strategy of expansion coupled with regional economic recovery is boosting the Latvian national airline's passenger count.

airBaltic carried overall 340,586 passengers in June 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing a 32 percent increase comparing with the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 258,051 passengers. For the first time in history the monthly passenger number exceeds 300,000.

In June this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 31 percent compared to the same period last year.
